LUCY'S MERMAIDS
Turquoise waters glistening in the Summer's sun.
The tide is out and the beach is deserted.
The only sound is a loving mum
Calling to her daughter.
How many people come here;
And see the things I see?
None.
The beautifulness and the calmness.
No one comes here but me.
Every warm relaxing evening I come here.
With the breeze in my hair I sing
A song that makes me drop a single tear,
Until the mermaids come swimming towards me.
They gracefully glide through the sea
Like baby dolphins in an aquarium.
They soon know its me
So they sit down on the rocks nearby.
They are elegant and shiny,
The waves are quietly lapping over them.
The mermaids look so tiny
When they are all the way out there.
The sun has fully gone down now,
And the mermaids have gone away.
I am going home as well.
I can't wait for the next sunny day.
